Melissa Adrouny, MD
Medical Director
Since 2016, Dr. Adrouny has been proudly practicing in her beloved home, the Bay Area. She is dedicated to integrating patient education with high-quality care, enabling individuals to make informed decisions about their health. Over the course of her career, Dr. Adrouny has worked toward creating a practice that offers full-scope, collaborative care under one roof to enhance the patient experience.
Dr. Adrouny is deeply committed to providing personalized care, attending 90% of her patients’ deliveries while maintaining a primary C-section (NTSV) rate of 17.1% and a VBAC success rate of 70%.
Her ultimate goal is to equip patients with knowledge and options while providing collaborative and comprehensive support at every step of their healthcare journey.

Kara Schaffer
Physician Assistant
Kara Schaffer (she/her) has been a practicing Physician Associate for 3 years, and she has been specializing in OB/GYN for the past 2 years. She graduated from the PA program at University of the Pacific in 2020 and practiced in endocrinology before joining Adrouny Women’s Health. She is passionate about reproductive rights and education about sexual health and contraception, particularly among teens and young adults. She is also passionate about providing a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ+ community. In her free time, she is an avid Swiftie, a voracious reader, and a huge musical theater nerd.

Charlette (Charlie) Bright, LMW, CPM
Charlie is a dedicated advocate for inclusive healthcare with over a decade of experience in emergency and maternal health. Influenced by a family legacy of holistic healers, she combines allopathic and holistic methods to provide compassionate, evidence-informed care tailored to each family’s unique needs. Her practice emphasizes shared decision-making, ensuring patients feel heard and empowered in their choices. Outside of her work, Charlie enjoys traveling with her husband, visiting her adult children, collecting vintage midwifery items, and mentoring future midwives.
